I'll never forget the first day I wore glasses. Driving home from the Optometrist's office as a ten year old, I marveled at each leaf on each tree, the individual trees poking up from the peaks of the mountains, the numbers on people's doorways indicating their address. I couldn't see them before. I'd known they were there, but I couldn't see them...
I didn't know how much I had been missing until I had those lenses, and all of the sudden the sights I'd already loved were all the more beautiful.
I'm grateful for vision, and I'm grateful for corrective lenses.
